specialist philosophy teaching

I am a Level 2  Specialist Philosophy Teacher with the The Philosophy Foundation.

Philosophy Foundation teachers are specialists in philosophy and are able to do philosophy with everyone from nursery to adulthood. As well as working in schools and home education groups the Foundation runs adult classes and residential courses, and can deliver one off workshops.

Teachers are trained in the use of ‘Enquiry’, a philosophical technique that is learner-centred and develops speaking and listening skills, basic reasoning skills, questioning skills as well as building confidence, concentration and collaboration skills. Enquiry can be used to develop higher-order thinking through all topics and national curriculum subjects.
